RAVEL'S 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
AUDITION

ABOUT THE AUDITION

The Quatre Music Organization is inviting all pianists of all age to join us in celebrating Ravel’s 150th Birth Anniversary. This audition aims to open up opportunities for pianists all around the world and to provide the platform to showcase their musical potential. Selected performers will be performing at Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore on 26th April 2025. This event will mark the first piano marathon featuring complete piano works by Maurice Ravel. 

 

WHO CAN APPLY

The audition is open to participants of all nationalities and all ages. 

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Scan the barcode on the poster to fill in the application form and to submit the video(s). 

  2. Audition will be in two stages. First stage will be via video submission for all participants. Selected participants might be called in for second stage via Zoom for international participants and live audition for participants who reside in Singapore. Further information on the live and zoom audition will be sent personally to the selected participants. 

  3. You may submit more than 1 video of different pieces under one application form. Please take note that you may be chosen to only perform one of the pieces for the live audition and/or the concert.

  4. Live audition in Singapore will be held on 13th December 2024.

  5. Zoom audition for international participants will be held on 14th December 2024. 

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

29TH NOVEMBER 2024

Applications will only be approved after the applicant has submitted the form together with the necessary documents and YouTube link. YouTube link can be submitted through the google form.

 

RESULT OF THE AUDITION

Result will be announced through email and QMO’s Instagram on 4th December 2024 for the video submission audition and 15th December 2024 for the live audition.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable.

  2. Participants and supporters of participants shall not communicate with or seek influence over the adjudicating panel.

  3. Video recording must show participants’ face and hands clearly at all times.

  4. Professional recording is not mandatory, but the submitted recording must be of a reasonable video and audio quality with minimal background noise.

  5. Only unedited recordings will be accepted. Videos that are, in any way, edited or re-engineered, will be unacceptable.

  6. Participants who wish to submit two or more pieces may do so by submitting one video for each piece. You may submit more than one video during the application process via the Google Form. 

  7. The Quatre Music Organization reserves the right to cancel the event should it be necessary such as due to insufficient number or participants or unforeseen circumstances. As such, the registration fee will be refunded.

  8. The participants give consent to allow the organizer to record part or all of three submitted videos for broadcast and promotional purposes freely.

  9. The participants will grant the organizer the exclusive rights to the recorded materials and pictures. 

  10. Incomplete applications will not be processed. 

  11. The decisions of the Adjudicating Panel are final. Thus, no discussion or correspondence will be entertained. 

  12. Selected performers who do not reside in Singapore shall be responsible for their own travel and accommodation fees.

  13. Quatre Music Organization reserves the right to amend the information, rules, terms, and conditions of the event without prior notice. It is the participant’s responsibility to check the website regularly for updates and announcements.
